Objectives

The objective of the program is to prepare students to be effective classroom teachers at high schools or colleges, and to develop students’ academic research skills so that they could independently do basic research on linguistics and language teaching.
 
Length of study and credits

3 years: one and a half for coursework, and the rest for teaching practice, thesis writing and defense.
Required credits: 35 in total, with 30 for courses and 5 for work related to thesis writing

Second language acquisition, Comparative linguistics, Language testing, Corpus linguistics, Phonetics and phonology, Stylistics, Cognitive linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Sociolinguistics, and other areas.
