Students attend international conferences regularly and learn interpreting skills under teachers’guidance. They have chances to work as interpreters or translators in international exchange and cooperation programs set up by schools and institutes in the Chinese Academy of Sciences. They also have internship opportunities in translation companies and presses which have established a friendship with the foreign languages department. Outstanding students are offered chances to interpret in international forums and symposiums organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
